Real experiences of retirement living at Park Place Retirement
In their own words
The best way to understand life at here is through the voices of those who call our community home. Residents and families share their real experiences of care, comfort, and community at Park Place.

Gloria: “Being busy in this chapter is a beautiful thing.”
Gloria’s journey to Park Place Retirement began after a meaningful season of change. Having lived in her home in Tavistock while raising her family, she began to feel lonely once her children were grown and living on their own. After visiting several retirement communities, Park Place stood out as the place that felt most like home.
Wayne: “The staff bring warmth and positivity into each day.”
Wayne’s move to Park Place Retirement came after the passing of his wife in 2022. Living alone, he needed more support with meals, care, and daily living than he could manage on his own. Moving to Park Place provided the safety, comfort, and assistance he needed.

Jackie: “I feel cared for each day.”
Jackie Naylor moved to Park Place Retirement after the passing of her husband, when her son encouraged her to consider a place where she could receive the care and support she needed. She quickly recognized that Park Place could provide both comfort and assistance in this new chapter of life.
“
Before I was here I was alone, I didn’t do anything. Here I have something to do every day. I have made tons of friends, I join in on so many things, I have people to talk to here and spend my time with.
I would recommend retirement living because everything is done for us here, we have worked and kept house our entire life, its good to relax now. We have our rooms cleaned, our laundry done for us and all our meals prepared.
Gloria K.
I was by myself and I needed care. I was alone, my wife passed in 2022, and I needed help. I couldn’t do it on my own; I needed help with meals and care. The staff has made a difference in my life; they give me a positive outlook. I would definitely recommend this place.
Wayne J.
My transition coming here was pretty good. My husband had passed away and my son suggested Park Place. I needed a certain amount of care and Park Place provided it. I would recommend living here because they give me all the care I need, I get my laundry done here and delivered back to my room. It gets put away for me even.
Friendship here has made a difference in my life, the people who work here help me every day with everything I need.
